Shooting At School In Russia Today
The incident occurred on the 26th of September, Monday when a shooting took place at School No. 88 in Izhevsky which is a well-established city 600 miles away from Moscow in the Udmurtia region where a shooter who was unknown to the witnesses and victim entered the school and went on a shooting spree. He killed as many as 15 people and nearly 22 people were injured in the shooting. After shooting and killing many, the 34-year-old shooter who was recognized as Artyom Kazantsev shot himself and died on the spot. It also came out that the shooter was a student of the same school where the shooting occurred.
15 Dead & 24 Wounded In Russia School Shooting
As per the police reports, the shooter was wearing a Nazi symbolled t-shirt and he killed himself instantly after shooting and killing many. The motive behind the killing still remains unknown while police are still investigating the case. Also, the 15 people who died in the shooting also included 11 children and 24 people who were injured had 22 children in them as it took place in school. The staff as well were killed and injured in the shooting. Alexander Brechalov Governor of Udmurtia said that the shooter was a patient of a psychiatric facility and he killed himself post-attack. While the spokesperson Dmitry Peskov described the attack as a terrorist act.

Dmitry Peskove also added that President Putin deeply mourns the death of the people and children in the shooting where the attack took place. He added that this was an act of Terrorism. The school where the shooting took place had students between first grade and eleventh grade and it was a high school end in Russia. The place was evacuated as soon as the shooting took place and further investigations are been held. Police are trying to identify the bodies and the injured are getting treated at the hospital. While the police still are still to release the identities of the deceased. The guns used in the attack were described as non-authorized guns and were nonlethal handguns with fire real bullets.
