Who Was Debbie Lechtanski?
The elderly couple who were found dead were later recognized as Debbie Lechtanski aged 60 years old, and her husband Robert Lechtanski who is aged 62 years old. While it was also revealed by the police that the shooting was not the usual one done for a rivalry or spree, neither was the robbery, rather it was a mass suicide in which two people, the couple passed away and one amongst the three survived. The third person who was shot during the shooting was Gisele Montero who was breathing and alive when the police were informed and they arrived at the hospital. Montero was transferred to the hospital where she is getting treated.

This incident occurred on the 26th of November around 1 am and the police were informed about a shooting heard near the 2800 block of W. Calvert Road and the neighbours informed the police. When the police arrived Montero was transferred to the hospital where she is getting treated and is now under a steady situation. While police added that the couple has been shot by one of them earlier, later they added that Robert was the one who shot his wife and his girlfriend, Montero. This was a failed attempt at mass suicide. While the couple passed away Montero is alive. All three people involved in the shooting suffered a single shot each.
What Happened With Debbie Lechtanski?
One of the members of the Vigil De Damian who held a payer for the deceased, named Damian, added that he knew Robert from the broadway church. Damian added that Robert was the guy who had a gun earlier so it was not new for him that Robert was having issues. He also mentioned that Robert is not the only person in the community with a gun there are many others as well. Damian mentioned that although Robert shot his wife and he did shoot himself as well, he was a completely different person earlier and they all had a place for him in their hearts as well. Damian mentioned that Robert might have gotten himself into a situation that he did not find a way to get out of. Damian also added in his statement that this is not the first time a homicide occurred as a result of a shooting but many others as well have been reported in the same area. While speaking about the Church and the vigil they have been holding on prayers for the ones who are deceased every time someone passes away. Each time there is a homicide case or murder case occurring in the area, St. Joseph County has decided that they will keep a prayer for the ones who passed away. The Native prayer ministry as well has decided to keep a prayer for the ones who passed away in the homicide.
