Sanderson High School Lifts Lockdown

Police officials said that a man was shot in his leg, at around 10:35 in the morning on Friday. The shot occurred near the Optimist pool, said the police. According to a senior student named K’naj Reed, they were sent to rooms in order to hide and protect themselves if in any case, a shoot happens at the school. He said that they had a lockdown inside the school if in any case, someone tries to enter the school. Staff and students were away from doors and windows, and the police said that there was no suspicion of any student getting involved in the incident and that they are safe.

Why Did Sanderson High School Lifts Lockdown?

Jose Ojeda a freshman in the High school said they panicked after they heard the shoot. And she also said that they should be provided with security. Apart from this, there were two policemen guarding the rest of the day at the school, in case anything happens there. Ojeda said that she was at the cafeteria when the alert was announced. She said that a teacher came rushing and said, everyone, to move into the kitchen and not to come out until further notifications. The wake county public school system said that there was a red alert generated at the school and no one was allowed to enter or exit the building until police gives out a clear announcement. People were sacred because the Uvalde school shoot is still in their minds. Students and staff were afraid until the police arrived. Ojeda said that they are having exams this month and that she is not focused and will not be able to do so because of fear. Many parents after this incident said that they sent their children to school and were assured that they are safe, but now that the shooting has occurred they are more in fear apart from the Uvalde school shoot. Parents are fearing that they risking their children’s life by sending them to school. Certainly, the shoot has put everyone in fear in the USA.
